  • In what areas is it technology-related?
  • What related tech resources are available?
  • How do others use technology in teaching this material?
  • How could mastery and use of this material in the real world involve technology?


Evaluate the Learners

  • What technologies have they already mastered? All of them?
  • What technology do they use in daily life?
  • What it their capacity to learn new technologies?
  • What is their interest/patience with the subject material? Would technology make the material more or less palatable?

Evaluate the Teaching Situation

  • What technology is available? Labs? Smart classrooms?
  • What is the administration's attitude towards technological innovation?
  • How many hours are available to cover the material? How many would you need to explain and practice the technology?
  • Are there budgetary constraints?
